Israeli MP blames quakes on gays

An Israeli MP has blamed parliament's tolerance of gays for earthquakes that have rocked the Holy Land recently.

Shlomo Benizri, of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish Shas Party, said the tremors had been caused by lawmaking that gave "legitimacy to sodomy".

Israel decriminalised homosexuality in 1988 and has since passed several laws recognizing gay rights.

Two earthquakes shook the region last week and a further four struck in November and December.

Bwaaa hahah, what an idiot.  One would think it would be hard to make a cause and effect connection between a 1988 law, and earthquakes two months ago... but you know, Shlomo got's 'ta get his hate on somehow. 

I'm sure gays have caused all kinds of earthquakes, but I think Shlomo would be disappointed to know that they were probably fairly localized to various bedrooms throughout the world...

This reminds me of when the late and not so great Jerry Falwell blamed 9/11 on gays...  Ahhh the good old days...
