One big step forward for Civil Rights

Comments

Since this will be a HUGE election, I'm hoping that more people will turn out to vote this down. I just can't believe that that many Californians really have their panties in a bunch about who can "marry." In the meantime, what a great victory!
As you know, I don't care who marries who (or what for that matter) - but let's face it, we live in a blue area of a red state. My recent travels have reminded me of how very lucky we are to live in the SF Bay Area and the freedoms and benefits we reap from the liberal aura this place exudes.

Remember when Arnold got elected? All blue around here but exceedingly red down south. I wish we could just split California and be done with it.

Hope fatherhood is going well!

Hopefully the historic nature of Obama's campaign, coupled with a strong desire on the part of Californians to change course from the Bush years will push turnout for the election. If that happens, we're more likely to win this one at the ballot box too...
[this is good]
I caught this in news headlines and was awestruck. About time!
